Cozy atmosphere with a charming pub vibe. The food menu features a solid selection of fish dishes, and the breakfast variety looks promising.

Several rooms show signs of neglect. the carpets in the bedrooms have stains, and the bathrooms bear evidence of previous leaks. I found the bed uncomfortable due to an older mattress that makes you roll toward the center. Shower tiles need resealing, and there's a persistent musty smell in some corners—definitely not what I’d call premier comfort.

excellent access to parks and nearby attractions

I had a great stay during my two nights here, as the evening meal was very good with generous servings, and I enjoyed the convenience of being only a few steps away from beautiful Kingsgate Park for my afternoon strolls.

The lack of a chair in the room was disappointing, and the breakfast staff could have been more cheerful during service.

Family with children will enjoy the comfort

We got this massive family room, just perfect for us. The breakfast was top-notch, quality sausages that even the kids loved, could barely finish mine!

It wasn’t cheap, but it was acceptable for what we got.

The bathroom could use a deep clean. there was some mold around. the vibe felt a bit tired, but not horrible. TV was perfectly placed for lounging. Just needed a little TLC to really shine.

I enjoyed my one-night stay in a lovely King Room, which was clean and well-presented, the shower worked perfectly. The breakfast spread was generous, offering a satisfying cooked meal that left me ready for a busy day of exploring. I also found the staff to be friendly and attentive, though I think some areas could use a little updating for a fresher feel.

the dog is great in the heart of the cotswolds. breakfast was a good size and well presented. the communication with the property was smooth when we were delayed. a cheerful server made our dinner a pleasant experience, too. lovely outdoor dining adds to the charm.

Had a solid stay here! Breakfast was a winner, lots of options like tea, fruit, and a fab cooked meal that left me stuffed for my day of walking. The room was comfy with a nice shower, and the pub feels so welcoming, perfect for country vibes. Just a shame the dinner menu wasn’t great—avoid the halloumi platter, it’s a rip-off!

Great little spot for a family getaway

We had a fab 1-night stay! The staff were super friendly, especially the girl at check-in who made sure we didn't miss dinner. The room was spacious and comfy, def loved the en-suite! The location was nice and quiet, perfect for some relaxation. Wish there were more hooks for coats, though.
